The production process of printing plates
The production of printing plates is a delicate and complicated process. First, the typeset digital files must be processed and output as films through the photosetter. Then, the image and text information on the film is transferred to the printing plate using a platemaking machine. In this process, the printing plate will undergo a series of operations such as exposure and development.
During exposure, the image and text part on the film will block the light, so that the photosensitive layer of the corresponding part of the printing plate will not change, while the photosensitive layer of the blank part will undergo chemical changes under the action of light; development is to remove the changed photosensitive layer, so that the printing plate will show the image and text part and blank part consistent with the film.
Finally, the prepared printing plate is checked and corrected to ensure that its quality meets the printing requirements.
